Shandong Provincial Conference on Foreign Investment and Trade Experience Sharing
On December 25, 2025, the Shandong Province Outward Investment and Trade Coordination Conference (and International Engineering Procurement Linking Conference) was held in Jinan City, Shandong Province. The event aimed to promote cooperation between Shandong enterprises, central state-owned corporations and enterprises from other regions, and deepen integration and coordinated development in the fields of outward investment, overseas contract engineering projects, cross-border e-commerce and other new forms of foreign trade.
The director of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, Wang Lei, took part in the event and delivered a welcoming speech. Fan Aiqing, Chairman of the China International Investment Promotion Council, was also present. Speeches were given by specially invited Vice President of the China International Investment Promotion Council Li Yongjun, Deputy General Director of China Civil Engineering Corporation and Party Secretary and General Director of CRCC International Investment Guan Jiaxin, as well as Senior Vice President of Envision Group and President of Envision Energy Storage Division Tian Qingjun. The conference was moderated by Zhang Qingwei, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province.
The event was jointly organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce and the China International Investment Promotion Council and attracted representatives from more than 210 well-known central state-owned enterprises as well as leading companies from Shandong Province and other regions of China. About 400 people took part in the conference, including representatives of enterprises and heads of commercial departments from all 16 cities in Shandong Province.
During the event, participants shared experiences and presented projects focused on international business development strategies, international cooperation within production and supply chains with external investment, corporate development plans, and integration of external investment and trade. Negotiations and business meetings were held in areas such as cooperation in the field of external investment, international engineering procurement and integrated services for companies entering foreign markets, which contributed to the development of practical cooperation. General Manager of Shandong Auma Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. Zeng Qiang and the manager of the foreign trade department, Zhao Yan, took part in the conference.
As part of the event, the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province and the China International Investment Promotion Council signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Jinan Zone of China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Shanhajing Integrated Service Port for Access to Foreign Markets) has signed coordinated development agreements with six enterprises. In addition, the relevant companies and their partners entered into agreements on the joint creation of foreign industrial parks, the purchase of equipment and materials, as well as the implementation of engineering and construction projects.
Various companies and groups presented their projects and held negotiations about the prospects for further cooperation.
